Add a beta tag to the pre-1.0 release menu backgrounds, to clarify to new players that the game is still work in progress

We're always in progress. The point releases are stable and should be included in distros, while the dailies are the true "betas".

we really need to be able to call a version 0.8beta or the like, and this idea would block it. Why not a note "It's open source, thus always work in progress"? :) As a serious alternative, what about showing the version number more visibly?

This is a really bad idea and will cause linux distros to not include our game, if anything we need to communicate that the game is stable but not yet finished
