Maybe consider a target like -14dB for our sound files (same as ReplayGain)? I.e. assuming our usual volume is around -6dB, that'd allow us to preset all sliders (master AND others) to -4dB, giving them all some headroom for increasing. Possibly also consider allowing some sliders to go above 100% a bit (DP has a limiter to prevent clipping).

It it way too loud, especially for headphone users. I'd lower it to something between 4-5
